We are hiring an Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain the connective tissue between products, partner systems, and real estate data sources. You will work integrations end-to-end — from API design and data modeling through ETL pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and partner support. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys turning messy real-world data into reliable, well-documented integrations that thousands of brokerages depend on every day.
You will work primarily in our Ruby on Rails and PHP services, integrate with CRM systems, third-party partner APIs, and MLS data feeds, and collaborate closely with product managers, partner engineers, and our US-based teams.
Design, build, and maintain integrations between products and external systems — CRMs, partner APIs, and MLS real estate data feeds.
Develop and consume REST and GraphQL APIs in Ruby on Rails and PHP services; write clean, well-tested code with thoughtful error handling and observability.
Build and maintain ETL and data pipelines that ingest, transform, normalize, and sync data across systems, with attention to data quality, idempotency, and recovery.
Investigate and resolve integration issues end-to-end: triage partner-reported failures, dig into logs and data, identify root causes, and ship durable fixes.
Partner with third-party engineering teams during integration onboarding — reviewing their API contracts, testing in sandbox environments, and shepherding the integration to production.
Write and maintain clear technical documentation: integration specs, data mappings, runbooks, and partner-facing developer docs.
Contribute to our integration platform: tooling, shared libraries, monitoring, alerting, and patterns that make future integrations faster and safer to build.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotation for integration health.
3-7 years of professional software engineering experience with a meaningful portion focused on integrations, APIs, or data pipelines.
Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and / or PHP in production environments. Comfortable reading and writing idiomatic code in both, or willing to ramp on the second quickly.
Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
Experience building ETL or data pipelines: extracting from external sources, transforming and normalizing data, and loading into operational stores or data warehouses.
Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Comfort with Git, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices (code review, testing, logging, monitoring).
Strong debugging skills — you enjoy tracing a problem across system boundaries and reading other people’s code to figure out what’s really happening.
Excellent written and verbal English; able to communicate clearly with US-based teammates and external partners over async and live channels.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with real estate data standards (RESO Data Dictionary, RESO Web API, RETS) or other industry-specific data feeds.
Experience integrating with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) or marketing automation tools.
Familiarity with message queues, webhooks, or event-driven patterns (e.g., Sidekiq, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Experience working with AWS or another major cloud provider.
Exposure to GraphQL schema design and federation.
Experience supporting external developer partners or writing public API documentation.
