Job Summary
Key Accountabilities
Operations & Process:
- Manage the period – end close cycle – Month-end/Quarter-end/Annual for local books of various countries.
- Analyze trends and variances within the various lines of the income statements and balance sheets to ensure financial statements are well controlled, timely, and accurate.
- Work closely with onshore counterparts to ensure accurate recording of journal entries for assigned activities.
- Support financial reporting for the Parent entity's Consolidated reporting, standalone US GAAP/ IFRS, and other statutory financials.
- Contribute to setting the team's strategic direction and assist in the overall running of the team's operations.
- Take ownership of processes, reports, procedures, or products, serving as a Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-functional processes.
- Perform various calculations, allocations, and support the posting of various entries related to payroll, accruals, fixed assets, and leases.
- Performing & review of reconciliations for Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Support the global Intercompany reconciliation process and post required journals (Intercompany treaty and expenses).
- Assist in posting of Intercompany reinsurance-related entries.
- Dedicatedly support all geography teams with the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, monthly management reports, and analytics.
- Liaise with underwriting and other functions as required. Perform Cost allocation exercise.
- Support any late adjustment process.
- Prepare Financial Controller pack and highlight any material risk to risk control committee.
- Prepare year-end audit files and respond to external audit requests.
- Review deliverables from assistant accountants and support ad hoc requests.
- Manage day-to-day operations, administration, and communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Support onboarding of any business/ finance change programs.
- Own the maintenance of Chart of accounts and run the forum to approve any changes to it.
Minimum Experience
Qualified Accountant having 4+ years of experience working in Controllership area.
Technical Skills

- Proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.

- Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and ERPs such as SUN GL, Blackline, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ANAPLAN etc.
