POSITION OVERVIEW
The portfolio lead – motor underwriting will be responsible for monitoring growth and profitability of Motor line of business, actively managing portfolio performance, and driving strategic initiatives to increase market share.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor growth and profitability of Motor line of business.
- To execute central level strategies and conduct competition benchmarking for growth and profitability.
- Deep mine opportunities and strategize as per central guidelines.
- Actively manage portfolio by sharing insights and taking decisions to weed out non-preferred business.
- Devise Tech based solutions and work towards new generation products.
- Analyze and manage channel-wise and overall P&L for Motor line of business.
- Formulate strategies to increase market share.
- Share various reports with senior management on portfolio performance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 8-12 years in General Insurance with exposure to Motor portfolio/underwriting management.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and strategic planning.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Data Analytics
- Communication skills
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of R/Python/SAS
- Understanding of Actuarial Science
