Job Title: Coating Inspector – Quality Control (QC)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Coating Inspector
to be responsible for inspection and quality control of coating and painting
activities. The ideal candidate should have a
B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
, along with
BGAS or NACE Level 2 certification
and relevant experience in
Quality Control/Coating Inspection
.
Key Responsibilities

Perform inspection of surface preparation, blasting, painting, and coating
activities as per approved specifications and procedures.

Inspect and verify surface cleanliness, surface profile, environmental
conditions, and coating application.

Conduct coating inspection using relevant inspection instruments and testing
equipment.

Monitor
DFT (Dry Film Thickness), WFT (Wet Film Thickness), adhesion, holiday
detection, surface profile, and visual inspection
.

Verify coating materials, batch numbers, mixing ratios, pot life, and
application methods.
-
Ensure coating activities comply with
project specifications, ITP, method statements, and applicable
international standards
.

Review and maintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, and other
QC documentation.

Raise and follow up on
NCRs, observations, and corrective actions
related to coating activities.

Coordinate with project, construction, QA/QC, and client inspection teams.
-
Witness and coordinate inspection activities with clients/third-party
inspectors.
-
Ensure proper calibration and availability of coating inspection
instruments.

Conduct inspection of incoming coating materials and verify relevant
certificates and documentation.

Ensure compliance with applicable
HSE requirements
during coating and inspection activities.
Required Qualifications

B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
.

BGAS-CSWIP or NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector certification – Mandatory
.

Minimum
6–10 years of relevant QC/Coating Inspection experience
.
-
Experience in industrial projects such as
Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Infrastructure, Fabrication, or Heavy
Engineering
will be preferred.

Strong knowledge of coating inspection, surface preparation, painting
systems, and quality documentation.

Knowledge of relevant standards such as
ISO, SSPC, NACE/AMPP, ASTM
and project specifications.
