Job Title
Lead Celigo Developer & AI Automation Lead
Reporting / Partnership Model
This position reports directly to the Director of Business Applications and
partners closely with Product Management, the Senior NetSuite Systems
Architect, Business Applications, Accounting, Finance, Sales Operations,
Operations, and other key global stakeholders.
The Role
Therabody is seeking a Lead Celigo Developer & AI Automation Lead to own
the architecture, development standards, operational reliability, and
long-term scalability of our enterprise integration ecosystem.
This role will be the technical leader for how data and business processes
move across NetSuite, eCommerce, logistics, finance, customer operations,
analytics, and other connected platforms. The role will establish industry
best practices for Celigo development, integration design, monitoring,
alerting, error handling, supportability, and data stewardship.
Beyond traditional iPaaS development, this role will partner with Product
Management, the Senior NetSuite Systems Architect, and global business
stakeholders to identify practical AI-enabled automation opportunities that
reduce manual effort, improve operational decision-making, and increase
enterprise scalability.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The right candidate can design
architecture, build complex integrations, troubleshoot production issues,
document standards, and influence stakeholders toward solutions that are
maintainable, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
What You'll Do
Celigo Architecture & Development
-
Design, build, deploy, and support Celigo integrations across NetSuite and
connected enterprise platforms.
-
Define Celigo standards for flow design, mapping patterns, transformation
logic, error handling, retries, monitoring, alerting, and ownership
boundaries.
-
Drive platform simplification by reducing fragile flows, duplicate logic,
unnecessary customization, and integration technical debt.
-
Lead architecture decisions for point-to-point integrations, reusable
patterns, APIs, webhooks, and event-driven designs.
Enterprise Integration Governance
-
Establish integration standards aligned with industry best practices for
reliability, observability, security, maintainability, and operational
supportability.
-
Partner with Product Management and the Senior NetSuite Systems Architect
to translate roadmap initiatives into scalable integration designs.
-
Document integration patterns, runbooks, escalation paths, and support
procedures.
-
Ensure data stewardship and business ownership are clearly defined across
connected systems.
NetSuite & Operational Systems Integration
-
Lead integrations across NetSuite, eCommerce, WMS/3PL, EDI, tax, customer,
finance, and adjacent operational systems.
-
Improve integration reliability across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay,
inventory, fulfillment, returns, and financial operations.
-
Partner with business teams to identify recurring integration failures and
address root causes rather than symptoms.
-
Ensure integration designs support global operations, multi-subsidiary
requirements, auditability, and operational scale.
AI & Intelligent Automation
-
Evaluate, recommend, and help implement practical AI-enabled automation
opportunities across integration monitoring, exception handling,
reconciliation, reporting, and operational decision support.
-
Partner with teams working on AI capabilities to ensure automation
involving ERP or operational systems is secure, auditable, and
appropriately governed.
-
Help define patterns for AI agents or assistants that interact with
enterprise data while respecting role-based permissions, human approval
requirements, and audit controls.
-
Distinguish between high-value AI automation opportunities and areas where
deterministic workflows, human review, or traditional integration patterns
are more appropriate.
Operational Excellence & Production Support
-
Create monitoring dashboards, alerting frameworks, and operational
runbooks for critical integrations.
-
Lead troubleshooting for complex production issues involving data,
mappings, source systems, target systems, timing, permissions, or business
process breakdowns.
-
Define service expectations and incident response practices for
business-critical flows.
-
Continuously improve integration observability, supportability, and
recovery processes.
Leadership & Enablement
-
Mentor developers, analysts, and administrators on integration best
practices and support patterns.
-
Lead technical design reviews and recommend solutions aligned to industry
best practices and long-term maintainability.
-
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-
Create clear documentation so integration knowledge is institutional
rather than tribal.
Required Qualifications
-
7+ years of progressive integration development experience, including
enterprise-scale iPaaS, API, middleware, or automation ownership.
-
3+ years of hands-on Celigo development experience in production
environments.
-
Strong NetSuite integration experience, including transaction, item,
customer, vendor, inventory, fulfillment, and financial data flows.
-
Deep understanding of REST APIs, web services, authentication patterns,
data transformation, error handling, and integration monitoring.
-
Demonstrated success establishing or improving integration standards
aligned with industry best practices.
-
Experience supporting integrations across global operations or complex
multi-system environments.
-
Ability to partner effectively with Product Management, Architecture,
business stakeholders, and support teams.
-
Practical experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled automation,
AI-assisted coding, intelligent exception handling, or agentic workflow
concepts.
Nice to Have
-
Celigo certifications or formal Celigo platform training.
-
Experience with SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, SuiteQL, or NetSuite
extensibility.
-
Experience integrating Shopify, Salesforce, WMS, 3PL, EDI, tax, billing,
TMS, OMS, or manufacturing systems.
-
Experience with event-driven architecture, queues, enterprise messaging,
or orchestration platforms.
-
Experience with AI agents, MCP-style architectures, RAG, LLM-based
workflow automation, or AI governance patterns.
-
Manufacturing, consumer products, wellness, retail, or global supply chain
experience.
-
Experience operating in controlled change management environments with
audit readiness and release discipline.
Success Metrics - First 12 Months
-
Integration incident volume and recurring failures are reduced through
better architecture, monitoring, and root cause resolution.
-
Celigo standards are documented, adopted, and used consistently across new
and existing integrations.
-
Critical integrations are observable, supportable, and governed with clear
ownership and runbooks.
-
Manual reconciliation, exception handling, or operational follow-up is
reduced through automation.
-
At least one practical AI-enabled automation or AI-assisted support
pattern is evaluated and moved toward production readiness where
appropriate.
-
Business stakeholders view the integration team as a strategic partner,
not only a support function.
Interview Addendum - Calibration Questions
Role:
Lead Celigo Developer & AI Automation Lead
Use these questions to separate candidates who have owned outcomes from
candidates who have participated in projects. Strong candidates should be
able to explain tradeoffs, governance decisions, business impact, and where
they deliberately avoided unnecessary customization or automation.
Integration Architecture Depth
-
Celigo developer vs. integration architect.
Walk me through an integration environment you inherited or supported that
was difficult to maintain. What standards or architectural changes did you
introduce, and what measurable improvement resulted?
-
Industry best practices.
Describe a situation where a stakeholder requested a solution that
conflicted with integration industry best practices or long-term platform
sustainability. How did you approach the discussion, and what was the
outcome?
-
Event-driven vs. point-to-point.
When would you choose an event-driven approach instead of a traditional
point-to-point integration? What tradeoffs have you seen in real
environments?
AI & Automation
-
AI beyond documentation.
Many candidates use AI for documentation or code suggestions. Describe a
workflow where AI directly improved an operational process, integration
support process, reconciliation process, or business outcome.
-
Agentic exception handling.
Suppose Finance wants an AI assistant that reviews failed order imports,
identifies likely root causes, recommends corrections, and escalates only
when required. How would you architect it safely?
-
Where AI does not belong.
Where would you deliberately avoid AI in an integration or ERP context,
and why?
Reliability & Support
-
Critical failure scenario.
A peak-season order integration stops processing. Walk through your
troubleshooting process from alert to root cause to prevention.
-
Monitoring design.
What should a mature monitoring and alerting model include for
business-critical Celigo flows?
Optional Follow-Ups
-
Scale check:
Walk through the largest environment you supported - users, subsidiaries,
transaction volume, integrations, support model, and business functions
involved.
-
Concrete AI artifact:
Describe the most ambitious AI-enabled workflow, automation, or coding
artifact you personally helped build, deploy, or govern. What changed
because of it?
