Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the company’s
financial obligations by overseeing the invoice processing lifecycle. This
position ensures accuracy and timeliness in all payment activities, ultimately
contributing to the smooth financial operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Process and manage incoming invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring
proper coding and entry into the accounts payable system.

Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with
vendors as required to maintain positive relationships.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Accounts Payable procedures
in compliance with company policies.

Prepare and execute weekly payment runs to ensure timely payments to vendors
and suppliers.

Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging report to ensure timely
payment within terms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support procurement and payment
processes in the Accounts Payable cycle.

Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and reports as
required.
Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s
degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP
systems is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and
reporting.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to
prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a
customer-service orientation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented
environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes and systems.

Knowledge of local and federal regulations related to accounts payable.

Certification in Accounts Payable or similar certification is an advantage.

Experience in handling high volumes of transactions in a fast-paced
environment.
