DevOps Engineer Specialist

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer Specialist to join the product engineering team and help build and scale a next-generation eCommerce intelligence platform for global retailers and manufacturers. This role requires someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable cloud infrastructure, and driving modern DevOps and platform engineering practices.

You will work as part of the Engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the SaaS platform end-to-end, collaborating closely with developers and DevOps teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the decomposition of a large monolithic system into microservices architecture.
• Design and implement complex deployment architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) across environments such as feature, pre-production, and production.
• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient and scalable platform solutions.
• Provide coaching and guidance to DevOps teams on platform engineering best practices.
• Design and implement database migration strategies.
• Design and implement deployment rollback mechanisms to ensure system reliability.
• Develop and implement solutions to optimize infrastructure cost and improve time-to-market.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years relevant experience in DevOps.
• Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and scalable infrastructure management.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and containerization.
• Strong experience administering Argo CD.
• Good understanding of GitOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Stackdriver, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
• Experience implementing and managing Kafka and RabbitMQ in high-throughput environments.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong English communication skills (B2 or higher).

Nice to Have

• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including secrets management and data encryption.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience administering large-scale relational databases and data warehouses.
• Understanding of cloud networking architecture.
