Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a finance leader who combines the technical depth of a senior accountant with the deal - making ability of a structured finance professional. The role owns the company's books, compliance and MIS on one side, and fund raising, lender relationships and promoter-level financing transactions on the other. The person will work directly with the MD and be expected to independently originate, negotiate and close LAS and Promoter Financing deals.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Core Accounting, Audit & Compliance

• Own the complete books of accounts — finalization, consolidation, and closure of monthly, quarterly and annual financials.
• Ensure accuracy in ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, provisioning, and inter-company adjustments.
• Manage statutory compliance: GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC/MCA filings, Companies Act requirements.
• Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors; ensure clean audit reports with no repeat observations.
• Implement and strengthen internal financial controls, SOPs, and approval matrices.

B. Treasury, Debt & Fund Raising

• Plan and manage cash flow, working capital cycle, and fund deployment.
• Arrange and manage debt: term loans, working capital limits, OD/CC, NCDs, and structured facilities.
• Prepare CMA data, project reports, financial models, and lender presentations.
• Monitor covenants, security creation, charge registration, and repayment schedules.

C. Structured Finance — LAS & Promoter Financing (critical to this role)

• Independently source, structure and close Loan Against Securities (LAS) transactions.
• Structure Promoter Financing / Promoter Funding deals — share pledge-backed lending, escrow mechanisms, cover ratios, top-up and margin call arrangements.
• Evaluate collateral quality, scrip liquidity, LTV norms, and pledge/unpledge mechanics with depositories.
• Draft and negotiate term sheets, sanction conditions, pricing, tenor, and security structure.
• Manage documentation with NBFCs, banks, AIFs, family offices and private credit funds.
• Track regulatory boundaries (SEBI, RBI, depository norms) applicable to pledge-backed lending.

D. Lender & Stakeholder Relationship Management

• Build and maintain a strong network across banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, and DSAs.
• Represent the company in lender meetings, credit committee discussions and due diligence.
• Convince and align lenders on the company's business model, cash flows and repayment capacity.

E. MIS, Budgeting & Business Partnering

• Deliver accurate, decision-ready MIS to the MD with variance analysis and commentary.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and build the accounts and finance team.

Finance & lending background	Prior stint in an NBFC, bank, private credit fund or a corporate treasury handling structured debt
Technical depth	Complete command of accounting standards, taxation and audit — everything a senior accountant knows
Ownership	Self-driven, works directly with the MD, comfortable being the single point of accountability
