Basic Function
The Finance Data Analyst in the project team will be responsible for
developing and optimizing reporting solutions, automating reporting processes,
and ensuring data integrity within the financial planning (budgeting and
forecasting) processes. This role will involve creating dynamic and insightful
reports in data visualization tools, performing data reconciliation, and
driving both tactical and strategic changes in response to evolving business
needs.
Essential Functions

Reporting Development:
Design and develop robust reporting solutions using Power BI to provide
accurate, timely, and actionable insights for financial planning and
analysis.

Automation:
Automate reporting processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce
manual intervention, leveraging tools such as Power BI and scripting
languages where applicable.

Data Integrity & Quality Control:
Implement quality checks and validation processes to ensure the integrity
and accuracy of financial data reported across TM1, Anaplan, and other
platforms.

Reconciliation:
Perform data reconciliation between source systems, financial models, and
reporting outputs to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.

Business Intelligence (BI):
Build and maintain BI dashboards that provide clear visual representations
of financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Collaboration:
Work closely with finance, IT, and project teams to align data reporting
with business needs and ensure that reporting tools meet the evolving
demands of stakeholders.

Strategic Change:
Support and drive tactical and strategic change initiatives, adapting
reporting solutions to meet new business requirements and technological
advancements.

Data Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, identify trends, and provide
recommendations to improve planning and forecasting processes.

Optimization:
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize existing reporting solutions and
introduce new technologies or methodologies to improve reporting accuracy
and efficiency.
Work Experience & Other Requirements
Required Skills & Experience

Data Analysis Expertise:
Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization within
financial planning functions, preferably using TM1, Anaplan, and Power BI.

Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and
integrating data from multiple sources. Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other
scripting languages is a plus.

Finance & Accounting Knowledge:
Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, with experience in
financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.

Automation & Optimization:
Experience in automating reporting processes and optimizing data workflows
to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Data Integrity:
Strong focus on data integrity, with experience in implementing quality
checks and reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy of financial
reports.

Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data issues
and develop innovative reporting solutions.

Communication:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
with cross-functional teams and present complex data insights to
non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Graduate or higher degree in Finance:
Candidate with technical degree like BE/BTECH/BCA/MCA/MTECH.

Certifications:
Certification in Power BI or other data analytics platforms.

Programming Skills:
Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R for data
manipulation and automation.

Industry Experience:
Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry.

Change Management:
Experience with change management initiatives and supporting strategic
shifts in reporting or data analysis practices.
