Title: Sourcing & Procurement 

Location: New Delhi/ Mumbai

Purpose of the job

Sourcing of raw materials, Purchase Order Processing for EU (Source to Pay)

Main responsibilities

●         Global sourcing of raw materials for all subsidiaries of Algol Chemicals – reactive/ proactive ( identify, negotiate, qualify with 360 degree approach – sample & commercialize

●         Maintaining of sourcing database for AC with information update

●         Vendor relationship management

●         Factory Audits as required

●         Purchaseorder handling with alloted suppliers, AC countries

●         Transportation bookings with agreed country logistics

●         Supplier communication via the channels used at AC

●         Sample orders management

●         Related Administrative tasks and deviation handling

●         Invoice inspection &handling for alloted purchasing

●         Cross functional collaboration

●         Process improvement/P2P/ Purchase price/ new instruction

Competence requirements

Chemicals and allied Industry – global sourcing exposure of minimum 5 years (preferably in distribution company)

Knowledge of regulatory compliance for international markets (preferable EU/ USA)

Knowledge of purchasing tools/ software/ ERP

Interpersonal skills, service mindset – Accountable and Responsible as Individual contributor

Proactivity and attention

Sourcing & Purchase orientation

Effciency : First Time Right approach

Education: Graduation/ Post graduation any stream but Chemistry/ Biochemistry exposure preferred. Good Performance record
