Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Design Engineer – MEP to
manage HVAC and
firefighting
engineering activities for substation and transmission projects.
The role involves leading complete MEP engineering delivery from
the pre-bid
stage to execution and commissioning, ensuring quality, schedule
adherence, cost optimization, and effective coordination with
clients, vendors, site teams, and multidisciplinary engineering
functions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead HVAC & Fire Fighting design engineering activities for
AIS/GIS substations and transmission infrastructure projects.

Manage complete MEP engineering delivery from proposal/pre-bid
stage till project execution and commissioning.

Perform and review HVAC heat load calculations, equipment
sizing, ducting layouts, ventilation studies, and firefighting
hydraulic calculations.

Review and approve HVAC/FF system designs, technical
specifications, BOQ, vendor drawings, and engineering
deliverables.

Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Protection, Telecom, and BIM
teams for multidisciplinary engineering integration.

Handle vendor coordination, technical bid evaluation,
manufacturing clearance, and drawing approvals.

Drive design optimization, value engineering, and productivity
improvement initiatives.

Ensure timely submission of engineering deliverables while
maintaining quality standards.
