Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Contract & Commercial Lead
to manage contractual and commercial activities for a large-scale
Hybrid Renewable Energy Program
involving Solar, Wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
EPC contracts, contract administration, claims management, EOT,
variations/change orders, contractual notices, commercial risk management
and dispute avoidance
.
Key Responsibilities
-
Manage the
end-to-end contract administration
of EPC and project/package contracts.

Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones and notice
requirements.

Review and assess
contractual claims, variations, change orders and EOT requests
.
-
Evaluate contractual entitlement and commercial exposure associated with
claims and variations.
-
Manage
Extension of Time (EOT)
submissions and coordinate with Planning/Project Controls teams for delay
substantiation.
-
Review and issue contractual notices in accordance with contract
requirements.

Monitor
commercial risks, compensation events, provisional items and
change-control matters
.

Support negotiations with EPC contractors, subcontractors and other project
stakeholders.

Maintain contract registers, claims trackers, variation registers and
commercial action trackers.

Coordinate with
Planning, Project Controls, QS, Procurement, Engineering and Construction
teams
for contractual/commercial matters.

Identify potential contractual disputes and develop strategies for
dispute avoidance and resolution
.

Prepare commercial and contractual recommendations for senior management.

Provide regular reporting on
claims, variations, EOTs, commercial exposure and contractual risks
.

Ensure compliance with approved contract procedures, governance requirements
and commercial policies.

Support the Program Director in major contractual negotiations and strategic
commercial decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in
Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Contract
Management or a related discipline
.

10+ years of experience
in Contract Management, Commercial Management or Contract Administration.

Strong experience in
EPC / infrastructure / power / renewable energy projects
.
-
Hands-on experience in
Claims, EOT, Variations, Change Orders and Contractual Notices
.
-
Strong knowledge of
FIDIC or other international EPC contract frameworks
.
-
Experience in contractual entitlement assessment and commercial risk
management.

Strong understanding of
delay analysis and delay substantiation
.
-
Experience coordinating with Planning/Project Controls and Quantity
Surveying teams.
-
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple project packages and contractual matters
simultaneously.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a
senior Contract & Commercial professional
with strong exposure to
EPC contracts, claims, EOT, variations, change orders, contractual notices
and commercial risk management
.
The candidate should be capable of managing contractual matters at the
program level
, working closely with EPC contractors and internal Planning, Project
Controls, QS, Engineering and Construction teams, while providing clear
commercial recommendations to senior management.
