Job Title
Sr. Mechanical Inspector
Qualification & Experience
-
B.S. Degree in Engineering
with a minimum of
6 years
of Mechanical Plant Equipment Inspection experience in the construction of
Petrochemical or Hydrocarbon facilities
OR - Industrial/Technical College Diploma with a minimum of 12 years of Mechanical Plant Equipment Inspection experience in the construction of Petrochemical or Hydrocarbon facilities
Key Technical Knowledge & Codes
-
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international and US codes and
standards, including:
- ANSI (31.3, 31.4, 31.8)
- ASME Section V & IX
- API 510, API 570, API 620, API 650
- AWS D1.1
- Strong understanding of construction, inspection, maintenance procedures, and material testing methods for mechanical plant equipment
Certifications (Mandatory)
-
Must be
certified
as one of the following:
- AWS CWI (American Welding Society – Certified Welding Inspector)
- CSWIP 3.2 – Certified Welding Inspector
- Saudi Aramco–approved equivalent certification
Role Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical plant equipment during construction of petrochemical or hydrocarbon facilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, and project specifications
- Review welding procedures, material certifications, and inspection reports
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Ensure execution of work as per approved inspection and quality plans
