Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to oversee manufacturing
operations for Tipper Bodies, Fuel Tankers, Low Bed Trailers, Flat Bed
Trailers, and other fabricated steel structures. The candidate will be
responsible for production planning, fabrication supervision, quality
compliance, resource utilization, and timely project completion while
maintaining safety and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
-
Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities.

Ensure achievement of production targets as per delivery schedules.

Coordinate fabrication, fit-up, welding, assembly, painting, and final
inspection activities.

Monitor production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Fabrication & Assembly Supervision
-
Supervise fabrication of:
-
Tipper Bodies
-
Fuel Tankers
-
Low Bed Trailers
-
Flat Bed Trailers
-
Skeletal Trailers
-
Custom Steel Structures
-
Ensure fabrication is carried out according to approved engineering drawings
and specifications.

Verify dimensional accuracy and assembly quality throughout the
manufacturing process.
Process Improvement
-
Implement lean manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives.
-
Reduce material wastage and rework.
-
Optimize manpower and machine utilization.
-
Develop and improve fabrication processes and work instructions.
Quality Control
-
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections.
-
Ensure compliance with welding procedures and fabrication standards.
-
Maintain production records and quality documentation.
-
Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Planning & Coordination
-
Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Stores, and Quality departments.
-
Monitor availability of raw materials and consumables.
-
Ensure timely completion of production schedules.
-
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Safety Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards.
-
Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness activities.
-
Promote safe fabrication and welding practices.
Required Skills

Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes.

Experience in trailer and tanker manufacturing.

Understanding of welding techniques (MIG, MAG, FCAW, SMAW).

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.

Knowledge of production planning and shop floor management.
-
Familiarity with fabrication equipment and machinery.

Understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.

Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
