As part of its expansion into mission-critical infrastructure, DAMAC is developing advanced Data Centre facilities and is seeking experienced professionals to strengthen its engineering team.

 

Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for complete electrical system design and planning for large-scale developments, including Data Centres, residential towers, and commercial complexes.

 

This role requires strong expertise in power system design, load analysis, distribution planning, and reliability engineering suitable for mission-critical facilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end electrical design for residential and commercial projects  and large-scale building projects.

 

Perform detailed load calculations and electrical demand assessments.

 

Design HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, DG backup systems, and earthing systems.

 

Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layouts, schematics, and technical documentation.

 

Plan redundancy systems for mission-critical environments.

 

Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).

 

Coordinate with MEP consultants, architects, and execution teams.

 

Review vendor technical submissions and drawings.

 

Support site teams during execution and commissioning stages.

 

Optimize system efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

 

Required Qualifications

B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

 

 experience in electrical design engineering.

 

Strong experience in  commercial, or high-rise residential projects.

 

Hands-on expertise in load calculation, cable sizing, transformer sizing, and power system design.

 

Experience in designing for residential complexes and office buildings.

 

Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, or equivalent electrical design software.

 

Strong understanding of backup power systems and critical infrastructure planning.

 

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in Residential and commercial projects 

 

Knowledge of Tier standards (Uptime Institute standards preferred).

 

Exposure to sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design practices.
