Role Summary

As a Boiler Expert, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of steam generation and distribution infrastructure. You will act as a core technical advisor, managing EPC contractors and ensuring that high-capacity boiler systems operate safely, reliably, and in complete compliance with statutory and tender norms.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Design & Review: Review all relevant layouts, hydraulics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, architectural, structural, piping, and electrical specifications for steam generation units.
Project Engineering & Planning: Prepare and review comprehensive project plans, technical designs, and cost estimates for boiler systems and piping networks.
Field Assessments: Conduct thorough field surveys, feasibility studies, and site assessments to support design accuracy.
Execution & Monitoring: Closely monitor project progress during the erection, installation, and commissioning phases.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management: Guide and lead site engineers, technicians, and field staff while actively liaising with client officials, contractors, and external agencies.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Enforce rigorous quality standards and guarantee strict compliance with tender norms and safety guidelines.
Statutory Approvals & Testing: Oversee performance guarantee testing for individual equipment and the entire plant while securing necessary statutory approvals (e.g., IBR, CPCB, CEIG, and Labour Commissioner).
Reporting & Tracking: Maintain accurate project documentation, track progress against timelines, and prepare timely reporting updates.
Training & Development: Organize technical training and capacity-building sessions for both internal staff and client representatives.

Desired Profile & Role Requirements

Academic & Professional Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Instrumentation, Metallurgical, or Power Plant Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, specifically including a proven track record across at least two large-scale projects involving the design, erection, installation, and commissioning of steam generation plants.

Core Technical Competencies

Deep technical expertise in Steam Generation Plant Engineering, including Turbine Power Generation and Steam Distribution Networks.
Hands-on experience with high-capacity setups, specifically 300 TPH infrastructure (comprising 50 TPH AFBC boilers and 50 TPH RG/TG/VG configurations) with indicative 30 MW power generation.
Strong knowledge of distribution pipeline networks, road crossings, plot entrances, and hybrid systems utilizing biofuel and PNG gas.
Solid understanding of international/national boiler standards, statutory approval workflows, and EPC contractor oversight.
