General Ledger Accountant
Job Summary:
The General Ledger Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the
financial health of our organization by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of
financial statements. This position involves managing the general ledger
functions, analyzing financial data, and supporting financial reporting
processes, contributing directly to informed decision-making at all levels of
the company.
Key Responsibilities:

Record and summarize financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring
compliance with accounting standards.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance
with GAAP.

Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to verify the accuracy of
financial data and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with the preparation of year-end financial reports and coordinate
with external auditors during annual audits.

Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts, providing insights and
recommendations to improve financial performance.

Support budget preparation and forecasting processes by providing necessary
financial information and analysis.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording and
reporting of financial transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a related
finance function.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial systems and ERP implementations.
- CPA or CMA certification is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with tax compliance and financial reporting standards.
