Lead Project Engineer (Primary Design)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Experience: 10–15+ Years
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Lead primary electrical design for HV/EHV substations, including GIS and AIS substations.
• Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), General Arrangement (GA), equipment layouts, sections and elevations .
• Prepare and review equipment specifications, data sheets and technical schedules .
• Coordinate with civil, secondary/protection, control, SCADA and other engineering disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings, technical submittals and engineering documents.
• Ensure designs comply with utility/client standards, IEC standards and project specifications .
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

Mandatory Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in electrical substation engineering/design.
• Primary Substation Design experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience in HV/EHV Substation Design .
• Strong knowledge of primary substation equipment and electrical layouts.
• Saudi/GCC utility project experience will be an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in 132kV/220kV / 380kV/400kV and above substations will be preferred.
