• Budgeting and Planning : Developing the annual financial roadmap by estimating expenses and allocating resources across departments.
   
• Forecasting : Using historical data and market trends to predict future revenue, cash flow, and profits, often through  rolling forecasts  that are updated monthly or quarterly.
   
• Variance Analysis : Comparing actual financial results against budgeted or forecasted numbers to identify gaps, diagnose root causes, and suggest corrective actions.
   
• Scenario Modeling : Running "what-if" simulations to evaluate the impact of different business decisions (e.g., launching a new product or changing pricing) or economic shifts.
   
• Management Reporting : Creating dashboards and reports for executives and the board to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability.
