Head – Asset Reconstruction (ARC)

 

Role Purpose:
To lead and manage the Asset Reconstruction vertical, drive acquisition of stressed assets (NPAs), and ensure effective resolution, recovery, and portfolio profitability in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Leadership
•    Define and execute ARC business strategy aligned with company goals 
•    Build and scale the ARC vertical from sourcing to resolution 
•    Lead a high-performance team across legal, recovery, and operations 
2. Portfolio Acquisition
•    Identify and evaluate stressed asset opportunities from banks/NBFCs 
•    Lead due diligence, valuation, and bid strategy for NPA portfolios 
•    Build strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and advisors 
3. Resolution & Recovery
•    Drive resolution strategies including restructuring, settlement, and enforcement 
•    Manage large NPA accounts through legal frameworks like Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and SARFAESI Act, 2002 
•    Maximize recovery and ensure timely closure of cases 
4. Legal & Compliance
•    Oversee litigation, NCLT cases, and enforcement actions 
•    Ensure regulatory compliance with Reserve Bank of India guidelines 
•    Coordinate with legal advisors and resolution professionals 
5. Stakeholder Management
•    Liaise with banks, ARCs, investors, and regulatory bodies 
•    Present portfolio performance and recovery strategies to senior leadership 
6. Financial Performance
•    Monitor P&L of ARC business 
•    Ensure profitability through effective pricing and recovery strategies
