About the Role
EXL Services is seeking an experienced
Team Lead / Assistant Manager – P&C Insurance
to manage Workers' Compensation (WC) Payments & Forms operations. The
ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the US Property &
Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, team management experience, and a
thorough understanding of the Workers' Compensation claims lifecycle. This
role requires driving operational excellence, ensuring SLA compliance,
managing escalations, and delivering high-quality service to global
clients.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Workers' Compensation Payments & Forms team.

Monitor team productivity, quality, and SLA performance to achieve
operational goals.

Ensure timely processing of payments and forms to avoid penalties,
interest charges, and compliance issues.

Manage daily work allocation, inventory, and workload balancing across
the team.

Handle client and internal escalations, ensuring timely resolution.

Coordinate with onshore stakeholders regarding operational issues,
process updates, and performance metrics.

Ensure compliance with US insurance regulations, Workers' Compensation
guidelines, and DOI requirements.

Track operational metrics, identify process improvement opportunities,
and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback and
knowledge-sharing sessions.

Prepare and present operational reports, SLA dashboards, and performance
updates to stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience

5–8 years of experience in
US Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
, with strong exposure to
Workers' Compensation Claims
, Payments, and Forms.

Mandatory experience in team handling
within a BPO/KPO or insurance operations environment.

Strong understanding of the US Workers' Compensation claims lifecycle.

Experience managing SLAs, productivity, quality, and operational
metrics.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to manage escalations, prioritize workloads, and lead
high-performing teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Preferred Background
Candidates from
EXL, Genpact, Accenture, WNS
, or similar organizations with experience in US Insurance operations will
be preferred.
