Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Designers with 5 to 20 years of
experience in the design and detailing of mechanical equipment for Oil &
Gas and/or Metals & Mining projects. The candidate should have strong
expertise in equipment layout development, 3D modeling, fabrication drawings,
and multidisciplinary coordination during engineering and EPC project
execution.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop detailed design and 3D models for mechanical equipment and packages
used in Oil & Gas or Metals & Mining projects.

Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly
drawings, and equipment layouts.

Design and model equipment such as:
-
Pressure Vessels
-
Storage Tanks
-
Heat Exchangers
-
Pumps and Pump Packages
-
Compressors
-
Material Handling Equipment
-
Crushers, Conveyors, Screens, and Mining Equipment
-
Perform equipment layout and plot plan reviews considering maintenance,
operability, and safety requirements.

Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and
applicable codes/standards.

Coordinate with Process, Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, and
Instrumentation disciplines.

Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and constructability
assessments.

Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and client
requirements.

Support site engineering, fabrication, and construction activities as
required.
Required Skills & Experience
-
5 to 20 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer in EPC, Engineering
Consultancy, or Industrial Projects.
-
Experience in Oil & Gas and/or Metals & Mining projects is
mandatory.

Strong knowledge of equipment design, layouts, and detailing.
-
Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO,
and relevant industry standards.

Experience in reviewing and integrating vendor data into project designs.

Good understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
Software Skills
Experience in one or more of the following tools:

AutoCAD

Plant 3D

SP3D (SmartPlant 3D)

AVEVA E3D / PDMS

Bentley OpenPlant

MicroStation
-
Inventor / SolidWorks (preferred for equipment design)
Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience working on EPC and Greenfield/Brownfield projects.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to mentor junior designers and lead design activities (for
senior-level candidates).
