Data Validator - Risk & Compliance Product Team
Job Summary:
This role is a key position within the Risk & Compliance Product Team, working
in conjunction with the Data Discovery team. The primary purpose of this
position is to ensure the accuracy and reliability of datasets and tables
generated for product use cases, ultimately contributing to informed
decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Validate datasets and tables generated by upstream data teams, including
legacy and POA data systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability.

Execute SQL-based validation to verify data accuracy and completeness for
product utilization.

Cross-check source data against output data through table-level validation
to identify any discrepancies.

Identify data issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies, and drive resolution
in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Collaborate with data teams to confirm expected outputs and verify the
applicability of business logic in the datasets.

Conduct basic logical data checks rather than relying on extensive
automation, focusing on output validation.
Requirements:

5 to 8 years of experience in a data validation or data testing role,
particularly within the banking or financial services domain.

Strong SQL expertise, with the ability to execute complex queries and
validations.

Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective stakeholder
management and team collaboration.

Experience in data engineering, ETL processes, or dataset build
methodologies.

Strong understanding of data structures, tables, and validation techniques,
including data sanity checks.

A detail-oriented mindset with a strong analytical approach to identify and
resolve data inconsistencies.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data quality tools and metrics for enhancing data
reliability.

Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data modeling techniques.

compliance standards.
