Job Description
Knight Frank is seeking experienced and talented individuals to join our ESG
team. This position shall be performed out from any of the following KF office
locations: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad or Bengaluru.
Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of relevant experience in
sustainable design and construction i.e., green building industry,
specifically in “building energy simulation”. The candidate should be well
versed with the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Rating System(s), Indian
Green Building Council’s Rating System(s), and preferably with International
Well Building Institute’s (IWBIs) WELL rating systems. The applicant should
have experience of working on completed projects, which have earned LEED/IGBC
certification. Applicants must work well in a team and be able to accept
creative direction to fulfil the needs of this position.
Essential Job Functions:

Should be able to independently handle energy simulation for IGBC and USGBC
projects.

Provide calculations and analysis for all energy system loads, including
process loads where applicable.

Develop reports to guide project teams to meet the minimum requirements for
certification for rating systems with respect to EA and IAQ based credits.

Provide expert reviews of energy model output summaries for compliance with
the EA, and IAQ related credits for LEED, IGBC and relevant pre-conditions/
optimization for WELL.

Stay up to date on advancements in technology for energy efficiency and on
energy modelling advancements.

Should be effectively able to communicate technical requirements through
written, verbal, and in-person meetings with project team.

Contribute to the continued development and increased technical knowledge
through collaborative teamwork.
- Prepare project documentation and submittals.

Coordinate and interface with all disciplines (including consultants)
pertaining to specific project criteria.

Attend meetings with owner and/or project team members and prepare meeting
minutes.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Graduate with design (architecture), engineering or construction related
degree. Preference for mechanical engineering degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years related industry experience.

Should have completed at least 10 projects with energy simulation for LEED,
and/or IGBC projects*
- LEED AP/ WELL AP will be preferred.

Experience using the following energy simulation software programs: eQUEST,
EnergyPlus, Design Builder, etc.

Understanding of building mechanical systems including ASHRAE 90.1-2016 (or
later) standards.
- LEED/ IGBC Accredited Professional preferable.
*Building energy simulation experience through college degree courses will not
be considered for meeting the minimum qualifications.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of green building design and construction practices,
strategies and technologies.
- Working knowledge of general building systems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and building
simulation software.
- Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment servicing a wide
variety of project types/clients.
Additional Consideration:
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience with daylighting simulations and/or energy modelling.
- Published research and/or public speaking experience/capabilities.

Experience with multiple LEED Rating Systems (i.e., LEED NC, CI, EB, CS,
etc.)
- Affiliations with professional organizations.
