In this position, your role is essential in upholding compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. This position is key in handling the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitating a smooth transition for employees across different countries. Your main objective is to reduce tax-related risks and costs while ensuring that both the organization and its employees adhere to relevant tax laws.
· Review all types of Canada or US individual income tax returns.
· Demonstrate a high level of proficiency of tax technical knowledge.
· Manage the engagement team and ensure performance goals are met.
· Identify and lead new services.
· Develop, mentor, and supervise Associates & Specialists.
· Demonstrate leadership and executive presence.
· Communicate progress and project status to stakeholders.
· Knowledge of firm policies related to confidentiality, data privacy, engagement letters, and tax return guidelines.
· Adhere to practice protocols and internal processes consistently.
· Commerce Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA.
· 2–4 years in Canada or US Individual Taxation in a recognized firm or Big4.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Sound technical knowledge of US or Canadian Individual taxes.
· 12–18 months' experience reviewing US or CA tax returns.
· Prior experience interacting with foreign offices.
(Hybrid/WFO)-3 days work from office, 2 days work from home
