Electrical Design Engineer
SUMMARY:
Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Specialist/Supervisor to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurugram/ Gurgaon – India.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and check calculations as required
- Prepare electrical equipment specification packages, Datasheets, SoW, TBA etc
- Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications
- Prepares detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications
- Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals
- Ensures effective communication within project teams and with client engineers
- Track project metrics
- Report to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issues
- Visit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project related activities as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Senior Engineer with 15 plus years of relevant experience – preferably in an EPCM environment for industrial projects in utilities/power. Experience in large-scale M & M projects experience shall be added advantage.
- Sound Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI etc). Experience to Australian codes & standards shall be added advantage.
- Proficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPEN. Understanding of COMOS / SPEL will be added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
