Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Billing Engineer with strong experience in industrial / manufacturing / automotive projects . The candidate will be responsible for quantity measurement, preparation and verification of bills, BOQ management, client and subcontractor billing, and coordination with project/site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare client and subcontractor bills based on executed quantities and approved BOQ.
- Take site measurements and verify quantities against drawings, BOQ and actual site execution .
- Prepare RA Bills / Running Account Bills , measurement sheets and supporting documents.
- Check and verify contractor/subcontractor bills before submission.
- Prepare BOQ, quantity sheets and rate analysis as required.
- Track executed quantities against BOQ and identify quantity variations.
- Coordinate with site, planning, QS, execution and commercial teams for billing-related requirements.
- Prepare variation statements, extra-item claims and deviation statements .
- Verify work quantities jointly with client/consultant/subcontractor representatives.
- Maintain records of measurements, bills, approvals, deductions and payments.
- Assist in monthly billing and cost monitoring .
- Ensure bills are prepared accurately and submitted within project timelines.
- Support reconciliation of quantities, materials and work executed.
- Maintain proper documentation for client certification and subcontractor payments .
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, Quantity Take-off and Measurement .
- Experience in Client Billing & Subcontractor Billing .
- Knowledge of RA Bills, MB/Measurement Sheets, Rate Analysis and Variation Claims .
- Good understanding of civil, structural and industrial construction activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications .
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel .
- AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage.
- Good coordination and documentation skills.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Billing / Quantity Surveying / Commercial functions.
- Must have experience in industrial / manufacturing / automotive projects .
- Experience in factory, plant, production facility, industrial building or plant expansion projects preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling large-value industrial projects and multiple subcontractors will be preferred.
