Executive Mandate
The Vice President, Domain Operations – Insurance (P&C) will lead a
significant portion of EXL’s India Insurance (P&C) operations portfolio,
owning delivery excellence, profitable growth, client impact, and
transformation across geographies. The role will translate enterprise
strategy into scalable operating outcomes, strengthen EXL’s position as an
AI-led operations partner, and build a future-ready leadership bench across
large, distributed teams.
Role Profile
Core Responsibilities

Own domain operations strategy (Insurance – Property & Casualties),
execution, P&L performance, and margin expansion.

Lead end-to-end delivery across global centers, ensuring SLA adherence,
quality, risk governance, and client confidence.

Partner with IMUs and client CXOs to convert delivery excellence into
growth, expansion, advocacy, and long-term strategic partnerships.

Drive AI, analytics, automation, and platform-led transformation across
operations with clear ROI and adoption metrics.

Ideal Executive Profile

Enterprise operations leader: 20+ years of global operations leadership in
BPM, IT services, Insurance industry (global)

P&L and growth orientation: Proven accountability for large-scale
P&L, revenue growth, margin expansion, and strategic client
partnerships.

Insurance domain depth: Strong exposure to Insurance Property and
Casualties value chain including policy Administration, underwriting
support, claims management (FNOL to Settlement), billing &
collections, reinsurance operations, and agency/broker Services. Strong
knowledge of commercial and personal lines products, regulatory
frameworks, market practices, and carrier operating models across major
insurance markets.

Transformation credibility: Experience leading enterprise-wide
transformation, AI/automation adoption, global process harmonization,
post-merger integration, and outcome-based operating models.

Global leadership: Demonstrated success managing large, distributed teams
primarily across India, with strong executive presence and client CXO
credibility.
Qualifications & Career Path

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related field; MBA
or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.

Professional certifications in Property & Casualty Insurance,
Operations Excellence, Program Management, Analytics, or Financial
Management (e.g., CPCU, AINS, PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt,
CFA, FRM) will be an advantage.
