Job Title: Plant Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plant Electrical Technician with 3+ years of experience in heavy industries such as Ports, Mines, Steel, and Manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of plant electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure maximum operational availability in compliance with DP World safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned plant electrical and mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repair works.

• Ensure maximum operational availability of all scheduled plant and equipment.

• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and determine appropriate repair methods and spare parts requirements.

• Identify and select correct spare parts through manuals and visual recognition.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting with minimal supervision following DP World systems and procedures.

• Communicate work progress effectively with Supervisors.

• Visit operational sites and equipment locations as assigned beyond regular workshop duties.

• Work safely at heights and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

• Support and ensure electricians’ daily activities align with safety policies defined by DP World.

• Continuously build knowledge to work across plant equipment, electrical, and mechanical functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial environments (Ports, Mines, Steel, Manufacturing).

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Plant Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance

  • Precision measurement tools

  • Reading hydraulic drawings

  • Reading electrical & mechanical drawings

  • Industrial control components

  • Automobile engines and repair works

• Ability to work at heights (No fear of height).

• Good communication skills in English.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
