Job Summary:
Responsible for executing and overseeing period-end close activities, ensuring
accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records. The role involves
journal postings, reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting the
integrity of the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities:

Record and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and
adjustments in line with accounting standards.

Perform settlements and ensure proper clearing of open items across
sub-ledgers.

Execute sub-ledger close activities and ensure alignment with the general
ledger.

Prepare and review critical balance sheet reconciliations, including bank
reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved.

Conduct detailed variance analysis on balance sheet and P&L accounts;
identify key drivers and provide actionable insights.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring
deadlines are met.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and
improve close efficiency.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.

Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
within the close cycle.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA
preferred or pursuing).

2–5 years of experience in Record-to-Report or General Ledger accounting.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial close processes.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
