Hatch is currently seeking to hire talented Intermediate Highway/Roadway
Designers to join our Highways and Bridges Sector. In this role, you will be
based in our Gurgaon office and have the opportunity to work on high profile
projects including a variety of highway planning and design assignments being
undertaken in Canada on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO)
or for municipalities throughout the Province of Ontario and throughout
Canada.
Responsibilities

Work with project managers to accomplish various tasks associated with
various projects;

Contribute to the preliminary and detailed design of roads and freeways in
both rural and urban environments;

Undertake detailed design and modeling work for civil engineering projects,
roadway geometric design including design of intersections and interchanges,
roadside safety analysis, design of pavement marking and signage, traffic
staging design, and quantity calculations;

Assist project managers and/or engineers with preparation of design and
contract documents including technical and other project specifications;

Prepare reports and document project activities and data;

Be progressive, imaginative, and enthusiastic in the work and strive to add
value where possible for the benefit of the company and our clients.
Qualifications

Degree or Diploma
in Civil Engineering from an accredited University or College;

8-12 years’ experience
with highway and/or roadway design within consulting or construction
environments;

Experience
with Bentley ProjectWise and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC);
-
Proficient
with MicroStation and Open Roads Designer;

Experience
with AutoCAD and working knowledge of Civil 3D;

Familiarity
with Model Coordination/Clash detection;

Experience
working on Canadian roads and knowledge of Transportation Association of
Canada (TAC) is a definite asset;

Good technical and communication skills
are a necessity;

Ability
to design in collaboration with other disciplines and work on several
projects concurrently;

Ability
to complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines;

Experience
within a consultancy environment, specifically in the Civil Engineering
industry, is preferred.
