AWS DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

EXL is looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience in designing, deploying, automating, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and data platform services on AWS.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, CI/CD, GitOps, serverless services, API management, security, monitoring, and cloud automation .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and data platform services .
• Manage AWS services including EKS, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, MSK, and API Gateway .
• Develop automation solutions using Python and Boto3 .
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions .
• Implement GitOps deployment strategies using ArgoCD .
• Manage Kubernetes/EKS clusters, deployments, Helm charts, and containerized applications .
• Configure and support Gloo Gateway and Envoy Proxy for API management.
• Implement IAM policies, roles, least-privilege access, and cross-account configurations .
• Use Terraform/CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning.
• Integrate SonarQube and Veracode into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and observability using Datadog .
• Support Apache Airflow workflows and cloud-based data orchestration.
• Work with Amazon MSK/Kafka environments and support streaming platform operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis .
• Drive AWS cost optimization , resource right-sizing, and cloud utilization improvements.
• Collaborate with development, data engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience in AWS DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation .
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python .
• Good understanding of GitOps, DevSecOps, security, and observability .
• Strong troubleshooting and production-support capabilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
