Role Overview
We are looking for a
Lead – Revenue Assurance / Billing
to lead the billing, revenue assurance and accounts receivable processes
within the Finance & Accounts function.
The role will be responsible for ensuring
accurate and timely billing, revenue completeness, revenue recognition,
collections, customer reconciliations and effective financial controls
. The position will also drive process automation and improvements across the
billing and AR function.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Assurance & Billing
-
Lead end-to-end billing operations for various products and services.

Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing as per billing calendars, rate
cards and contractual terms.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue recognition in accordance with
Ind AS/IFRS
and company policies.
-
Identify revenue leakage risks and implement preventive and corrective
controls.
-
Monitor billing accuracy, exceptions and process adherence.
Accounts Receivable & Collections
-
Oversee accounts receivable and collection activities.
-
Ensure timely and accurate accounting of customer receipts and GST against
invoices.
-
Monitor outstanding receivables, ageing and high-risk accounts.
-
Drive timely collection and resolution of overdue balances.
-
Establish and monitor TATs across billing and collection processes.
-
Oversee AR ledger and customer account reconciliations.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
-
Lead periodic reconciliation with customers and resolve billing-related
queries.
-
Act as the first point of escalation for billing and account-related issues.
-
Build strong relationships with business teams, customers and other
stakeholders.
-
Ensure timely resolution and documentation of customer queries and disputes.
Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing

Prepare and analyse billing, collections, revenue and AR reports.

Monitor receivables ageing and collection performance.
-
Manage month-end activities including receipt accounting, income accruals
and
GL-to-sub-ledger reconciliation
.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Compliance & Controls
-
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies and
regulatory requirements.

Ensure adherence to
SEBI guidelines
and internal financial controls wherever applicable.
-
Strengthen controls around billing, revenue recognition and collections.
-
Support internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit
observations.
Process Improvement & Automation
-
Identify opportunities to improve billing and AR processes.
-
Drive implementation of automated billing and collection solutions.
-
Work closely with IT and other teams on system enhancements and automation
initiatives.
-
Leverage technology and analytics to improve revenue assurance, billing
accuracy and collections.
Team & Leadership
-
Lead and mentor the billing and accounts receivable team.
-
Set team objectives, processes and performance standards.
-
Drive a culture of accuracy, accountability, customer service and continuous
improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
-
CA / CMA / MBA
qualification.
-
4–5 years of post-qualification experience
in billing, revenue assurance, accounts receivable and/or collections.
-
Experience in
Capital Markets, Financial Services/BFSI or Telecom
is preferred.
-
Strong understanding of
revenue recognition, invoicing, billing and collection processes
.

Knowledge of
Ind AS / IFRS
.
-
Experience in AR reconciliation, ageing analysis and revenue accounting.
-
Strong understanding of ERP and automated billing platforms.
-
Experience in process automation or implementation of new-age finance tools
is an advantage.

Strong Excel, MIS and reporting skills.
-
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance and audit.
