Job Summary
Towell Engineering is looking for an experienced
Store Manager
to oversee all store and warehouse operations, ensuring
efficient inventory management, timely material
availability, and accurate stock control. The ideal
candidate should have strong experience in inventory
planning, warehouse management, ERP systems, and
coordination with Production, Purchase, Quality, and
Logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations,
ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of
materials.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimum
stock levels.

Monitor inward and outward movement of raw materials,
consumables, finished goods, and spare parts.

Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Planning, Quality,
and Dispatch teams to ensure uninterrupted material
flow.

Ensure proper material identification, storage,
preservation, and FIFO/FEFO implementation wherever
applicable.

Conduct periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and
annual inventory audits.

Monitor inventory accuracy and minimize stock
discrepancies and material losses.

Prepare MIS reports related to inventory, stock ageing,
consumption, and shortages.

Ensure timely issuance of materials as per production
requirements.

Optimize warehouse space utilization and improve storage
efficiency.

Implement 5S, Lean practices, and continuous improvement
initiatives in stores.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, warehouse
procedures, and company policies.

Lead and develop store personnel to achieve operational
excellence.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial,
Production, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

8–12 years of experience in Stores/Warehouse/Inventory
Management in Manufacturing or Heavy Engineering.

Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control,
material handling, and warehouse operations.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally
ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

Good understanding of inventory planning, cycle
counting, and warehouse best practices.
-
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and warehouse
optimization techniques.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
-
Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience in Heavy Engineering, Steel Fabrication,
Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, EPC, or Engineering
industries.

Exposure to ISO standards and warehouse quality systems.

Experience in handling large warehouses and inventory
worth multiple crores.

Knowledge of logistics, dispatch planning, and vendor
coordination.
