Job Summary:

The Senior Data Modeler will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust data models that drive strategic decision-making within our organization. This position requires a deep understanding of dimensional data modeling, as well as the ability to develop solutions that meet the unique needs of our banking and finance clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement dimensional data models from scratch to facilitate business intelligence and reporting.
• Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into thorough data modeling solutions.
• Ensure the integrity and quality of data by utilizing strong SQL skills in both OLAP and OLTP environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and establish effective data management strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, with a focus on AWS, GCP, or Azure, to enhance data architecture.
• Act as a decision-maker and subject matter expert on data modeling best practices and methodologies.
• Provide ongoing support and documentation for data models to ensure clarity and usability for stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in data modeling, specifically in dimensional modeling techniques.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for database querying and management.
• Experience working with banking and finance data requirements.
• Solid understanding of OLAP and OLTP data structures and methodologies.
• Proven experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS; familiarity with GCP and Azure is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or relevant certification in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Proven track record of leading data modeling projects within the banking and finance sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
