Job Summary:

Civil / Structural Engineer with Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Civil engineering and 4 to 12 years of relevant experience in a design office of repute. Should have exposure to design office practices using computer aided design and 3D modeling tools.

Major Responsibilities:

• Shall perform analysis and design of steel and concrete structures and foundations using software and manual methods.
• Shall prepare calculation reports, material requisitions, service requisitions, technical specifications and quantity take-offs and provide input for design drawings during all phases of projects.
• Shall check the drawings prepared by the designers.
• Shall participate in conceptual studies, proposals.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 4-year degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering.
• Preference will be given to the candidates with Master’s degree in relevant subject.
• 4 – 8 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of discipline engineering techniques and design calculation principles.
• Knowledge of detail engineering and deliverables and understanding of the complete design work process including the tools.
• Understanding of engineering procedures and design guides.
• Basic understanding of the roles played by other engineering disciplines on projects.
• Hands on experience of using software like STAAD.Pro / GTStrudl / ETABS.
• Knowledge of applicable standards and codes. Preference will be given to the candidates with knowledge of international codes (US / British / Euro / Canadian / Australian).
• Good skills in oral and written communication.
• Should be proficient in using MS office tools.

Senior Engineer - Structural

Job Summary:

Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed Institute with more than 16 years of experience in estimation, engineering co-ordination, front end & detailed design of structures/ foundations for large industrial projects preferably related to Oil, Gas & Petrochemical plants. Candidate should have worked in an engineering office or consultancy of repute performing relevant work. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices. Candidate should have exposure to 3D modeling and viewing tools such as S3D, Tekla, Naviswork, SPR and shall be proficient in use of industry standard Structural and Finite Element Analysis package such as STAAD Pro, SAP, ETABS, Midas, Ansys etc.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals, design criteria, specifications, budget and schedules for projects of varying complexity.
• Perform the finite element modeling and structural analysis of various steel and concrete structures.
• Reviews bid analyses and makes recommendations.
• Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.
• Reviews and checks work of junior team members and provides input for their performance evaluation.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 4-year degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering.
• Preference will be given to the candidates with Master’s degree in relevant subject.
• 16-20 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Possesses a broad understanding of the major design engineering deliverables.
• Plans, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work.
• Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.
• Performs work using Standard Application Programs and appropriate computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.
• Coordinates engineering effort in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.
• Understanding engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods.
• Understanding of the roles played by other disciplines like Plant Layout and Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Geotech and Construction etc.
• Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
• Experience in leading a team of engineers and designers in EPC and/or big FEED projects.
• Capable of planning, assigning, guiding and monitoring work of the team members.
• Capable of assuring quality of design and associated deliverables.
• Experience in design of Flat slabs, Cheese slabs shall be an added advantage.
• Exposure to Modular construction shall be an added advantage.
