Role Overview
IDE India is seeking a motivated and hands-on Financial Controller to join its
Noida office as part of the finance team. The role supports EPC and
engineering projects in India and overseas and involves close coordination
with project teams, engineering, procurement, legal, and senior management.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in project finance, contracts
review, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and strengthening financial
controls across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage project-wise accounting including cost tracking, WIP, margin
analysis, unbilled revenue, retention, and contract assets / liabilities

Ensure accurate revenue recognition under Ind AS / IFRS (POC and
milestone-based)

Review EPC, turnkey, consultancy, design and AMC contracts from a financial
and commercial perspective

Evaluate pricing, billing milestones, variations, escalation clauses, LDs,
penalties, warranties, and retention mechanisms
- Support bid pricing, tenders, and commercial evaluations

Monitor project cash flows including collections, BGs, LCs, and retention
money

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books as per Ind AS / IFRS /
Indian GAAP

Prepare financial statements, provisions, accruals, depreciation, forex
accounting, and reconciliations
- Ensure proper capitalization of project and engineering center costs
- Handle GST implications for EPC and works contracts
- Oversee TDS, advance tax, income tax compliance and assessments
- Coordinate statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit
- Strengthen internal controls, finance governance, and audit readiness

Prepare project MIS, margin analysis, cash flow forecasts, and variance
reports
- Act as a finance partner to project teams and management
Professional Experience
-
7–10 years post-qualification experience in EPC, construction,
infrastructure, or engineering project environments

Proven hands-on experience in project accounting including WIP management,
margin analysis, cost controls, unbilled revenue, retention and contract
assets/liabilities

Strong experience in revenue recognition under Ind AS / IFRS, including POC
and milestone-based methodologies for long-term EPC projects
-
Solid exposure to EPC and turnkey contract structures, including billing
milestones, variations, escalation mechanisms, LDs, penalties, guarantees
and warranties

Hands-on ownership of GST for works contracts and EPC projects, including
place of supply, cross-charges, and project-specific tax positions
-
Working experience with direct tax compliance including TDS, advance tax,
assessments, and coordination with tax advisors and authorities

Experience supporting bid pricing, tender evaluations, and commercial risk
assessments

Background in project-driven, multi-stakeholder environments with close
interaction across Projects, Engineering, SCM, Legal and external parties
-
Exposure to Design / Engineering Centres, multinational project setups, or
international reporting environments is a strong advantage

retention cycles and long-duration EPC cash risks
