Job Role: Lead - MET (Material Engineering Technology)

Reports To: Department Head

Base Location: Vadodara

Education: B.E / B.Tech in Metallurgy (Minimum), M.E / M.Tech in Metallurgy (Maximum)

Relevant Professional Experience: 13 - 23 Years

Individual Contributor:

Primary
- Developing Internal lining / cladding and discipline related reports.
- Estimating corrosion rates (using latest software ECE software etc.) and proposing fit for purpose and cost-effective alternatives with respect to materials, coating etc.
- Familiar with API, NACE, ASTM and other International standards.
- Developing the specifications for painting and surface preparation, Rust prevention specification based on client’s review.

Need to Have:
- Sound background in engineering, as well as knowledge in the field of process technology, metallurgy, equipment design, and corrosion degradation modes.
- Mastery in depth competencies in material selection (metallic & non-metallic materials), corrosion principles, metallurgy and welding.
Relationships Management:
- Internal: Interaction with multi-discipline LE’s and Project Team
  - Preparing Material Selection Diagrams (MSDs), Material Selection Reports (MSR), Material Selection Philosophy, Specifications for different services.
  - Preparing Corrosion Monitoring Plan, Corrosion Study documents.
  - Corrosion Monitoring and Inhibition Philosophy.
  - Develop specifications and procedures for Cathodic Protection.
  - Developing engineering deliverables through reviewing FEED documents, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Heat and Mass Balance (HMB), Piping Material Specification (PMS), Mechanical datasheets, Instrumentation datasheets etc.
- External: Interaction with Client/PMC/PMT/Vendors.
  - Nice to Have: Team work, Innovative Thinking, Drive Motivation, Maintain good communication with discipline team and inter discipline.
  - Exposure to both onshore and offshore operations and/or project experience will be of an advantage. Having previous experience working in a high concentration H2S environment is essential/desirable.
  - Can work on software like ECE, Predict, etc. for onshore and offshore material selection.
