Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled
GRMS Technician
to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and support
Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS)
across hotel and hospitality properties. The role involves ensuring the
smooth operation of room automation systems, including lighting, HVAC,
curtains/blinds, sensors, access interfaces, and energy-management systems.
Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and commission
GRMS equipment and systems
.

Troubleshoot and maintain GRMS controllers, sensors, thermostats, touch
panels, switches, and other room-control devices.

Monitor communication between GRMS devices, servers, and hotel management
systems.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to
lighting, HVAC, occupancy sensors, curtains/blinds, and room controls
.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of GRMS systems.

Configure room parameters, control logic, and system settings as per hotel
requirements.

Coordinate with
Electrical, HVAC, IT, and Engineering teams
during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

Respond to guest-room automation faults and ensure minimum system
downtime.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and
spare-parts usage.

Support system upgrades, software updates, and integration with
PMS/BMS systems
.

Provide technical support during
new hotel openings, renovations, and room commissioning
.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for technical support,
troubleshooting, and warranty-related issues.

Ensure compliance with electrical, safety, and hotel engineering
standards.
Required Qualifications
-
Diploma or Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics
, or a related field.

Relevant experience in
GRMS, BMS, HVAC Controls, Building Automation, or Hotel Engineering
Systems
.

Knowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, sensors, relays,
actuators, and communication networks.

Basic understanding of networking and communication protocols.

Ability to read and understand
electrical drawings and control schematics
.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of
PMS/BMS integration
will be an added advantage.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with
multiple teams.

Willingness to work in
shifts, weekends, and emergency maintenance situations
when required.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience in
hotel/hospitality automation projects
.

Hands-on experience with GRMS installation, commissioning,
troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Exposure to BMS, HVAC controls, IoT-based room automation, or
energy-management systems.
