Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
Conduct inspections of civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and Method Statements submitted by contractors.
Monitor construction quality and identify non-conformities during execution.
Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Verify material approvals, test certificates, and compliance with project specifications.
Witness and monitor field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, steel, soil, blocks, and finishing materials.
Ensure calibration of testing equipment and maintenance of quality records.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
Conduct quality audits and site surveillance inspections.
Monitor work against approved shop drawings and construction methodologies.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management and clients.
Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, checklists, and test reports.
Support project handover by ensuring completion of snag lists and punch points.
