Credit Control and Collections Specialist
Job Summary:
The Credit Control and Collections Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing
the company's financial health by ensuring timely collections and minimizing
bad debts. This position directly impacts cash flow and fosters strong client
relationships through effective credit management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate the timely collection of outstanding invoices by implementing
effective credit control processes.

Monitor account statuses and follow up on overdue accounts while maintaining
excellent customer relations.

Conduct financial assessments of clients to determine creditworthiness and
establish credit limits.

Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities, aged
receivables, and cash flow forecasts.

Coordinate with internal teams to resolve disputes and queries related to
billing and collections.

Develop and maintain collection policies and procedures to improve
efficiency and compliance.

Support the finance team in month-end closing activities by providing
accurate data on collections and revenue recognition.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or
related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit control and collections,
preferably within the London market.

Strong knowledge of credit assessment procedures and collection techniques.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially
Excel.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with
clients and stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial risks and make
informed decisions.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with legal recovery processes and debt collection services.
