Intermediate/Senior Conveyance Civil Designer

Role Overview

The Intermediate/Senior Conveyance Civil Designer will support the Water Conveyance team in the delivery of water and wastewater conveyance projects across global regions. This role focuses on design production and quality support for linear infrastructure designs, working closely with regional project offices in Canada, Australia, the United States, and India.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Be involved in conveyance design, complex chamber and diversion structure design for water and wastewater systems
Design access roads and relocation designs
Assist in preparation of 3D models and drawing production particularly plan and profiles
Work in close collaboration with other disciplines such as structures, mechanical, piping, and electrical
Perform conceptual layout work, develop design details, check drawings prior to release
Integration of field investigation and on site conditions and dimensions relating to existing facilities
Incorporate safety in design.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited college
Minimum 5+ years' experience in water and wastewater conveyance & linear infrastructure projects
Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects is preferred.

Technical Skills & Experience

Exposure to:

Experience in civil infrastructure, site planning, linear alignment design
Maintenance holes, chambers, and related structures
Pressurized and gravity flow systems
Municipal standards and regulatory frameworks
Strong design software skills include demonstrated experience with MicroStation, Open Roads and AutoCAD Civl 3D. Other software skills which will be considered useful include AutoCAD, Revit, ProjectWise and Microsoft Office.
