Gold Loan Specialist

Job Summary:

The Gold Loan Specialist will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our gold loan portfolio by leveraging in-depth knowledge of the BFSI sector and hands-on experience in gold loans. This position focuses on business sourcing, gold appraisal, and managing client relationships to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and appraise gold collateral to determine loan eligibility and value.
Source and expand the customer base by conducting market research and implementing effective business development strategies.
Manage end-to-end loan processing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service throughout the loan cycle.
Analyze client profiles to assess credit risk and make informed lending decisions.
Prepare and present loan proposals to potential clients, articulating the benefits of our offerings.
Monitor portfolio performance and take proactive measures to minimize risks and defaults.

Requirements:

2-4 years of hands-on experience in gold loans within the banking sector.
Demonstrated stability in employment history with minimal job changes.
Strong background in gold appraisal and business sourcing.
Proficient understanding of the BFSI industry and banking regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, contributing to collective goals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with leading banks such as AU Small Finance Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, or Axis Bank.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs in the gold loan segment.
Relevant certifications in finance or banking would be a plus.
A keen interest in learning about market trends affecting gold interest rates and loan products.
