Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, engineering, and
execution support of civil and structural works for infrastructure, metals
& mining, and oil & gas projects. The role includes developing
engineering deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams,
ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and providing
technical support throughout the project lifecycle from concept through
commissioning.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and review project scope, design basis, civil design criteria,
engineering specifications, estimates, and schedules.

Perform civil engineering design for infrastructure, industrial, metals
& mining, and oil & gas facilities.

Prepare and review site development plans, grading plans, road and
pavement layouts, drainage systems, utility corridors, and underground
service layouts.

Design and review foundations for static and rotating equipment, pipe
racks, buildings, tanks, silos, conveyors, substations, and miscellaneous
structures.

Perform engineering calculations for foundations, retaining walls,
earthworks, drainage, roads, culverts, and stormwater systems.

Prepare and review earthwork calculations, cut and fill analysis, and
material quantity estimates.

Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical,
Instrumentation, Process, and Project Engineering disciplines.

Review geotechnical investigation reports and incorporate recommendations
into civil design.

Prepare and review Material Take-Offs (MTO), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and
cost estimates.

Review vendor drawings and ensure compatibility with project requirements.

Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, model reviews,
HAZID/HAZOP, and constructability reviews.

Ensure compliance with applicable international and local codes, client
specifications, and industry standards.

Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications and
evaluating vendor submissions.

Provide engineering support during construction, installation,
commissioning, and site troubleshooting.

Respond to technical queries, review field changes, and resolve
construction-related engineering issues.

Monitor project schedules, engineering deliverables, and quality
requirements.

Promote Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout
project execution.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

5–15+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Metals & Mining, Oil
& Gas, Industrial, or EPC projects.

Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Brownfield, and Greenfield
projects.
-
Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and construction
practices.

Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
