Job Summary

Towell Engineering is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in production planning, manpower management, process improvement, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet production schedules.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and other production resources.
Monitor production performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments for smooth production flow.
Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations within the production facility.
Prepare production reports, monitor KPIs, and present performance updates to management.
Train, guide, and develop production supervisors and shop floor personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
8–10 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations, with experience in a Production Manager role.
Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and quality management systems.
Experience in handling manpower, machine utilization, and production scheduling.
Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in heavy engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial equipment production.
Exposure to ISO standards and quality management systems.
Experience in handling large production teams and achieving production targets.
