Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Structural Design Engineer with expertise in Oil & Gas and Metals & Mining projects. The candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, engineering coordination, and execution support for industrial projects including process plants, refinery facilities, mining infrastructure, material handling systems, and associated structures.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of steel and concrete structures, international design codes, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and detailed engineering for industrial projects in Oil & Gas and Metals & Mining sectors.
• Design and analyze:
  • Steel structures
  • RCC structures
  • Pipe racks
  • Equipment foundations
  • Technological structures
  • Conveyor galleries
  • Crusher and transfer tower structures
  • Industrial buildings and support structures
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and civil teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international and Indian standards such as:
  • IS Codes
  • AISC
  • ASCE
  • BS / Eurocodes
• Perform seismic and wind load analysis.
• Coordinate with project management and site teams during construction and execution phases.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and client meetings.
• Optimize structural designs for cost efficiency and constructability.
• Support procurement and construction teams by resolving technical queries.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and industrial plant design.
• Experience in EPC / PMC projects for Oil & Gas or Metals & Mining industries.
• Expertise in structural analysis and design software such as:
  • STAAD Pro
  • ETABS
  • SAP2000
  • Tekla
  • AutoCAD
  • SP3D / E3D (preferred)
• Familiarity with international engineering standards and codes.
• Good understanding of fabrication and construction practices.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project environments.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 8 to 16 years of relevant experience in structural design engineering.
• Experience in EPC companies handling Oil & Gas and Metals & Mining projects is preferred.
