Senior Software Engineer - Workshop UI/API Integration
Job Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Palantry foundry by automating the Workshop UI and seamless API integration. This position focuses on building robust solutions utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Typescript, AWS or Azure, and Spark, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable Workshop UI and API solutions that optimize production efficiency and user engagement.
- Implement automation processes and integrate ontology frameworks to streamline data workflows within the foundry ecosystem.
- Utilize Typescript and SQL to build, maintain, and optimize application features and functionalities.
- Leverage AWS or Azure services to deploy, monitor, and maintain applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing timely resolutions to enhance system performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on API and UI integration.
- Proficiency in Typescript and SQL; experience with modern frontend frameworks is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure, demonstrating knowledge in deployment and management.
- Solid understanding of Spark or PySpark for handling big data processing tasks.
- Familiarity with ontology and data modeling concepts to enhance application data integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing or foundry industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile team environment.
