Job Description – RTR (Record to Report)

Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented RTR professional with hands-on experience in general ledger and financial reporting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare and post journal entries (JEs)
• Handle general ledger (GL) accounting and maintenance
• Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Analyze P&L and variance reports
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP / accounting standards
• Support internal and external audits
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of RTR process / General Ledger accounting
• Good understanding of US GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / NetSuite preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Ability to work in US shift and meet deadlines

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance (B.Com / M.Com)

Good to Have

• Experience in shared services / BPO / captive environment
• Exposure to SOX compliance
• Knowledge of automation tools (Power BI, RPA, etc.)
