Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented
Estimation Engineer / Estimation Manager
with a strong background in
structural steel fabrication and erection
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and
competitive cost estimates, reviewing technical drawings and specifications,
coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, and supporting the
commercial team during the bidding process. The candidate should possess
extensive knowledge of steel fabrication processes, material costing,
production planning, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, engineering drawings, specifications, and scope of
work.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication,
miscellaneous steel, plate work, and erection projects.

Perform quantity take-offs from fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and IFC
drawings.

Estimate costs for raw materials, consumables, fabrication, machining,
painting, galvanizing, transportation, erection, and subcontracted
activities.

Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial
competitiveness.

Prepare detailed BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing sheets.

Analyze project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and commercial conditions.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and project teams to
validate estimates.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications, and client
discussions when required.

Prepare tender submissions within specified deadlines.

Maintain and update cost databases, productivity norms, and historical
project records.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

Monitor market trends for steel prices, labor costs, and fabrication rates.

Support contract handover to project execution teams after award.

Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and client
requirements.
