Legal Manager - Home Loan and LAP (Non-Litigation)
Job Summary:
The Legal Manager for Home Loan and LAP (Non-Litigation) will be responsible for managing all legal matters related to home loan and loan against property transactions. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with regulations, drafting contracts, and participating in transaction negotiations, all while safeguarding the organization's legal interests and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements related to home loans and loan against property (LAP).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing home loan products and lending practices.
- Conduct thorough legal research to assist in the development of policies and procedures for the organization.
- Provide legal advice to internal teams on mitigating risks associated with home loans and LAP transactions.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisors and consultants as necessary.
- Support training and development programs for staff on legal issues related to financial products.
Requirements:
- Law degree (LLB) from an accredited institution; an advanced degree (LLM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of home loan products, financing regulations, and legal compliance.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
